spot on, mate.
it's "who's got the sickest bass, the most distorted razor-synth, the most evil tweak". there's no emotion left, no room for melodies or a warm pad or something cuz that's "not sick enough", not "hard enough".

Maybe then someone will understand what I tried to do with the Raid part of my competition entry, with all the dubstep influences and stuff. Hey, I'm no dubstep lover, I just wanted to point out the genre can be different in a - to me - friendlier way, more accessible. I wasn't aiming for 'dirty' or 'raw filth' but colorful stuff. I think I did a great job, as some people who dislike dubstep still like my track. Thanks! 8-)

The most dubstep I've heard is a mix Neorev posted on this forum somewhere. It's good driving music. Yes. That's it. Dubstep is the new douchebag doof doof sideways-cap subwoofa douchebag ricecar music.

Yes, I said douchebag twice.

Here... another very *ahum* original take at the stupid sounds. Dub Kart... is that a new sport, a new world of sound or just plain fucking noise played to a beat?
