well i kinda really liked to leave the tracker interface, i do not really feel like going back as I was never good at trackers.

Well, yeah I was...but I found tracking quite restrictive musically. It's great for beat structures though. I'll still take a peek however, because it's you.

A few paltry effects at least 3 years late and a merger with Record is one of the reasons I've lost faith in Propellerhead, and the underwhelming announcement is why I have decided to start looking for something better.

Aquila, have you tried ableton live? the learning curve is not complicated and, at least for me version 8.2.1 it's very stable

There is no hard to learn DAW (talikng about the popular ones)..that's the last thing you sould worry about. All you need is the dvd tutorial and a couple of days to get used to it. Try a couple of DAWs and pick your fav.

I can't recommend you something specific caz i havn't tried anything new yet caz of my crappy laptop...if i had a strongest PC i'd probably go for the new DAWs of Steinberg.
