I'm shocked that Skin Deep isn't in the top 12, but otherwise I'm really agreeable with the track selection for the album. Sweeet :D

By the way, I feel that Kymberley should be credited in the title (or artist name) for Bleeding Time and Walk Like An Egyptian on the album release, if that wasn't going to be done already.

How badly do they need mastering? I would do it but my monitors are out of order right now.

Only slight eq'ing and probably some normalization/limiting to have them at the same volume. I'd do it myself if I trusted my ears, but I know you have done it before, and only pissed off Studio Star when you did it :)

Of course if you won't do it without your monitors I'll understand.

Oh God you remembered that? Hah, what an epic experimantal failure that was lol.

The biggest issue with mastering a combination of amateur and independent tracks for a release is that most of the tracks will have already had some mastering applied to them already, and processing them further will only fuck them up (basically what happened with the studio star thing), while the remaining tracks may need a full course of treatment.

In those situations it's best if the mastering engineer is able to process each track from it's raw original state, but the result is strictly subject to the engineer's own interpretation and not all artists will liike and/or agree to it. I remember when I was asked to master BK-Recordings' first release, but most of the artists refused to give me the raw track. In the end I just gave up and told them where to stick it. Unsurprisingly, I haven't mastered anyone else's track since
