Limit on track uploads

Postby lothario » Sat Jun 25, 2011 12:38 pm

Due to a surge of new artists, and having thought about implementing it for a while, there is now a limit to the amount of tracks you can upload.

All members will now by default have 10 'free' uploads.

Additional track uploads will depend on the amount of karma points you have. For each 50 karma points, you can add another track. For example, if you have 300 karma points, you can add 6 additional tracks = 16 tracks total.

You can alternately unpublish some of your tracks, to make room for others.

You can see in your track manager how many track slots you have available.

Competition tracks are excluded from this limit.

If you have any questions, suggestions or bug reports, please post them here.

SOunds like a good plan. Just to clarify, are the Karma points being counted as the total points you have CURRENTLY, or the total points you have gained overall? For example, if member "Jeff" had earned a total of 200 points, but spent 50 points on something else, would Jeff be able t upload 3 tracks or 4 tracks?

I hope that makes sense...!

It's all-time karmascore, which means disregarding purchases.

Wouldn't it be nice to have the option 'delete track', or have I missed that out with the updates of lately? ;)

You can unpublish it, and it will be as if deleted...
