Sounds good to me, nice compromise. I'm happy to admin comps etc, I'd just need showing how. But if there are others who have more tech knowledge than me, by all means go for it! I'm here if you need me.

Does anyone agree with the idea of adding to the homepage a link to the facebook page and the social profiles of MP artists?

oh man...

i am truly torn...

i mean if we can find cheaper hosting, then cool
a part of me doesn't want to see the site go
but then i don't wanna see Aquila shelling out cash for no reason
how much does hosting for a site like this cost?

maybe 2 or 3 us could learn how to take control of the competitions and all that jazz and admin the site.
don't think it should all fall on one person's shoulders.
i wouldn't mind lending a hand if you can give me a little "how to" for me to learn the ins and outs.

what about tumblr? i mean i know it's no ftp for hosting or anything like that.
but isn't it fully editable? then you just have to really pay for the domain name rather than hosting?
just throwing out ideas.

if we do keep the site, i think it's a needs a little freshening up to get us all excited again.

but like i said, i am torn... a part of me doesn't wanna see it just disappear like it never existed.

I am always happy to contribute to any costs for this site, if it's not much I'm happy to front the full cost

Well, it'd be sad to see the site go for sure but it has been quite inactive recently, and sadly I know I am part of this. I do hope to get back into producing more but can never be sure if I will.

I wouldn't want anyone to spend a lot of their money if the site isn't likely to make a comeback but at the same time we should give it a chance, so the cheaper hosting could well fit the bill.

Keeping some means of hosting the competitions should be the primary concern IMO.

So, is anybody against moving the site to a cheaper server, stripping it to forum and competition only, and having links to the facebook page?

Fine by me. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help, either online geekery or money-wise.
