Coldhands Remix

Postby Karinn » Mon Jul 13, 2009 8:39 pm

Hey ya all :)i've been working on a mix of the track "Cold hands" by Cosmic Call.
A local band, and wanted to hear your advices and comments on what i should work on next to improve the track :)

It's a bit raw atm, having a hard time getting the bridge cool enough on the drums on some parts :P

Here's the Original track on Utube

yo!, i've listened to this one, and i have to say that i like a lot the bass synth when the vocals enter :D, some work on the drums could improve the track , and a bit of work to the intro would be nice too :)

Yea I'm actuly considering using that synth line further in the track, that's how it used to have it.
and about the intro what would u recommend ? more build up on the drums ?
,and perhaps bring the synth bass line more out to the open?(I filtered the syntbass alot in the intro).

Ted suggested to put some cymbals and stuff for the drum build up, Think i'll try that also :) ty Ted ;D

thanks for your time and comment :) I preciate it alot :D I'll keep these things in mynd when I get to work to night thx a lot

the pad on the intro could be a bit different, but is just a matter of taste:P

Great bassline... nice remix..... I think the drums in the intro could be tweaked.... how about maybe taking all the low-end off them, adding some distortion and turning them down a bit, so the drums sound like they're being played through an old gramaphone... then when the bigger drums come in a little later, there will be more BOOM effect in comparison....

I'm probably just babbling, too much tea.... but just an idea anyway. I'm no pro!
This is my fucking signature.

no Mo not babbling :) I might try your trick, perhaps on the whole intro for a short period of time, then pass one line in at a time, or slowly take the filter off ... but the other sounds have little amount of low freq, so I might try band pass on them..well... still brainstorming.
Anyways it's a good idea :D thank you Mo

Ulonix: aa yea I know what line your talking about :) I might have gone a bit off track with that pad, compared to the rest of the intro, dunno if it stays or not :) thanks again

P.S. Mo pro :geek:
